Prior to establishing People Grow Business, Marnie worked for the Department of Primary Industries & Fisheries where she focused on rural businesses development and rangeland sustainability. Fifteen years later, her marks are documented with numerous publications, including the book “Healthy Rangelands: Principles for Sustainable Systems.” The implementation of the programs she designed overcame significant social entrepreneurial challenges in industries where literacy, social and communication skills were sometimes poor. This further demonstrates her expertise in dealing with a variety of challenging situations where only limited standardization existed. She spearheaded various project portfolios, including production system enhancement studies, natural resource management, rural leadership and business performance. Armed with a plethora of successful track records in all areas of business planning for people in a variety of industries, has earned Marnie numerous, prestigious public Awards and Recognitions. 

As General Manager of People Grow Business, Marnie brings a high level of professionalism in facilitation, workshop design, project management and evaluation methods with the emphasis squarely on people. With a lifetime of personal involvement in her own family business, and having worked directly with hundreds of regional family businesses, Marnie also understands the daily challenges faced by families in business. Her professional background in research, business planning, benchmarking and practical implementation of on-the-ground solutions, comprise Marnie’s vast business portfolio, bringing to you a wealth of experience and solutions.

 

Her special interest is supporting people to achieve their potential. Marnie’s personal dedication to learning and fresh, contemporary thinking, has motivated her to acquire additional expertise and qualifications in the fields of communication and business performance. Marnie holds an Honours degree in Rural Science, is an active member of Business Networking International (BNI), HR Coach Research Institute Productivity Committee and AHRI.
